CELEBRATING SPACE, BUILDING TRUST

The first part, “Celebrating Space,” highlights two major anniversaries that will define the IAC 2029: the 80th anniversary of the congress and the 60th anniversary of the Moon landing. Together, they honor decades of human ingenuity, exploration, and shared progress, reminding us how far humanity has come and how far we can go when we work together.

The slogan “Building Trust” not only reflects Geneva’s reputation as such but at a time when the space economy is evolving rapidly and expanding well beyond traditional actors, maintaining trust in space and space science is more important than ever. There is a growing need for confidence that space will be developed and used in a responsible, diplomatic, and geopolitically safe manner. IAC 2029 in Geneva aims to contribute to building this trust — ensuring that space activities, innovation, and the space economy are perceived as forces for peaceful cooperation, scientific progress, and sharedglobal benefit.
